Colin was born in Baltimore, Maryland. He studied painting at Rhode Island School of Design and Cooper Union in New York City, where he received his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 2000. Colin spent three years painting in New York City before moving to Maine, and he incorporates this newly found landscape and quiet space into his work. He has participated in numerous group and solo shows at galleries across Virginia, New York, Philadelphia, Baltimore, Boston, Maine and Vermont. He is a member artist of the Copley Society of Art (CoSo) in Boston. He has taken courses in Rome, and studied the masters while traveling in Spain, Belgium, France and Switzerland. Colin's most recent venture included teaching an oil painting workshop aboard a schooner among the islands of Penobscot Bay, ME this past summer.
